Gurgaon Weekly 3.0

The trip to Noida was up the sleeves. but the barrier was the contact with dinkan. he hadn't taken the cell no. nd we were in the course of learning gurgaon-delhi route. unlike KSRTC, DTC has a website which provides all the info. so i were busy amidst the classes in finding a route 2 noida nd back !! at last i found a bus with no. 392.

The Noida Trip

We wanted 2 mak sure chacks nd ikka joined the trip. ikka had jst landed the previous day at delhi. nd chacks never went out of the guest house 'coz he was afraid of getting lost somewher !! so we asked him 2 come 2 our place at 9.30. previous day we foned dinks frm the office ( here local calls r free) and made-up the plans. chacks arrived right-in time at 10.00. he had reasons 4 tht !! in ggn it's easy 2 lose ur way !! so i believed him. we took bus 2 dhaula kuan frm our place ( all the delhi-ggn buses passes thrg a jn. here). . ther ikka was waiting !! as per our plans , v xpected 2 get bus as soon as we land ther !! but first we had 2 find the bus-stop wher v'll get noid bus. meanwhile dinks was busy sending "theri" messages coz t'was already 11. "flattinnu purathu irangaathavanu , delhi-yil yaathra cheyyan ulla prayaasam manassil aavumo ??? "...at last i made sure he sent no more messages . v had 2 walk a long-way acrross a overbridge to reach the bus stop. in b/w we saw a 392 no. bus nd chased it 4 some distance...but it ne'er stopped... by the time v got bus t'was past 11... the mercury was high in delhi !!

We reached ther by 1.00. though we walked her n ther 2 find the apartmnt, he finally came down 2 receive us!! b4 reaching ther he gave the info tht couple of girls r stayin' in the next flat ....the flat's spacious !! only 5 of them r ther. but no furniture stuff. but itz gud !! v spent some time ther wwith the usual "dinkan vadham aatakadha " ..we called ikka's friend "asker" also. he then took us to a nearby market 4 lunch. damn hot t'was nd we wer sweating lik anythin'. luckily we had a lot of ATMs nearby ..so v kept moving in nd out 2 keep ourselves cool !! then v went to Induslogic !! he took us around the gym, cafetaria, library, training room etc..v tuk pics of the facility ..!! then the food was free there !! all brkfst, lunch nd dinner...but ystrdy he foned nd was saying they're thinking of charging 4 food which we'd foreseen tht day itself ...we ransacked the cola tht was ther in the fridge...he showed us his cabin !! it's told STD is free ther..(guys note the point)... Later we moved to Asker's company !! jst 100m away..

Next destn. was Atta market !! the autowallah wasn't sure of the way ..with 5 people nd hav agreed a ride 4 50 bucks he trvld some 100 bucks worth distance !! at last we reached ther !! there we moved to Centrestage mall... t'was nothing new 4 gurgaon guys !! all the same story....but the diff. was "ruby tuesday"..a pub.. 4 ur info !! dinkan was taken in like a chicken in the stall ... to be killed !! but 2 his luck t'was "Happy hour" i'e u buy one beer u get one free !! but remember , one costs 160 bucks...but still v bought enough ! t'was like "kadalil kaayam kalakkal" ..

We took some snaps inside the mall though one guy told t'was banned. Once out of mall tis time to return. we waited at the atta market 4 a dhaula kuan bus nd even sought the help of a traffic police . dinkan was packed off first..ikka nxt ..then v..no bus 4 a long time...we met a bengali wrkng in ggn. he was also waitin 4 the bus. we agreed 2 take n auto for 120 bucks...4 of us somehow managed a ride in the auto ....nd thus reached DK. frm ther again the waiting..not even a single bus in view !! all buses to some other 'nagars"..nothin' 2 ggn. !! bengali was runnin' here n ther askin' 4 lift !! we ran behind him ..at last the bus came !! the "new yr" xperience of getting into "muthappan puzha' bus at calicut stand helped us..i guess!! but bengali couldn't board the bus..thus v somehow managed 2 getback ....

Gurgaon Weekly 2.0

The Spectacular Taj
It's one of the most beautiful buildings u can't afford to miss. Also the agra fort. Both symbolises how u can spent money if u hav enough. nd i don think anybody will ever build something of tht sort again..even the richest man !! The trip was gud but the -ve factors were heat nd the lack of hotels wher u get proper fud..something of our choice.B'coz t'was an A/C bus we weren't affected with tht heat . But i guess i've taken a lot of water tht day !! We took a guide to xplain everything at agra fort. As joy told Shahjahan had 332 "setups" nd there is a mosque dedicated 4 them called "Nagina mosque". The magical number 332 has amazed joy quite lot nd for a couple of weeks he was always talking abt tht while i were mesmerised with the beauty of Taj !! Actually shahjahan planned another taj for himself jst opposite on the other side of yamuna..but his son aurangazeb imprisoned him b4 tht tragedy happened !! but u can still c the platform made 4 tht. !!
The roads to agra weren't tht gud. so tht journey was shaky n bumpy. Only we 3 were mallus. so we joined thee gultis nd tamilians in singing songs !! It was time 4 me to give the best effort to reproduce the tamil songs i've heard so far in my life !! u knw sometimes it helps !! on the way we visited "Mathura"- birthplace of krishna !! its said ther r 5000+ krishna temples ther. the guide took us to a place wher he is supposed 2 hav taken rest aftr "Kaaliya Mardhanam" . On the way v saw a bldg wher "Mira bhai" lived. now it houses widows/unmarried women who r fed frm the earnings of the temple nearby . but ther it's all business. v don't feel any bhakti if u go ther !!! by the time we reached back at the guest house t'was midnight !!

The Malls @ Gurgaon
Malls r somethings u can't resist to visit again nd again. Once u're inside u donno how time progresses. At a nearby place cld IFFCO Chowk , we've 3 . nd many more coming up !! all with those brand showrooms nd multiple theatres. u want to simple spent money lik "rajnikant does in arunachalam" ..jst go ther. if he had gone ther it would hv been finished in 3 days nd not 30 days ( u c tht tamil influence is showing up here n ther !! even they speak always in terms of cinema. 4 every matter they hav an instance frm movies. ). But wherever uc u get to c a lot of .......u knw !! we'll wonder sometime y they r wearing something ?? u get 2c couples sitting nd chatting here n ther !! nobody'll ask u even if u sit ther the whole day ..i guess !!
All 3 malls viz ..Metropolitan, Sahara nd DLF city centre r big ones !! the first being the best among . In sahara u've a big bazaar meant for middleclass lik us !! take 3 get 2 free lik tht !! itz lik making a roadside seller to do business in a mall !! but u get a t reasonable prices .. even v bought some t-shirts frm ther. the malls r a major reason i've exhausted my first month salary !! they're savvy !! last weekend v went 4 "pirates of the carribean' movie at DT cinemas in city centre !! Rs. 150 ticket nd u can't carry eatables inside....coke+popcorn = Rs.90. we opted to remain hungry !! back at NIT we were freely dwnld-ing movies..here 150 bucks !!earlier v went to PVR 4 ticket. but sold-out. maybe itz better than DT. thtz y here seats were mostly vacant !!

Gurgaon Weekly 1.0

Life @FSS is getting better day-by-day. First week 'twas boring. but now i'm feeling better. as of now ther's no hint of any xams. but ther's proj, frm nxt week. 6 weeks proj !! donno whts up the sleeve ? 4 those who got fascinated with the machines@ Pclab . here we hav one 4 each of us...but the Ac's creatin probs....sometimes 2 cool..in the 1st week most of us were coughing nd sneezing. i'm in a seperate trainin' room. joy n chacks is in single room. we don't meet even durin' lunch breaks 'coz timings r different. but whenever i go to the tea/coffee machine they're there..sipping coffee..coz itz free....!!! pity for joy..he has to satisfy himself with a same coloured substitute 4 tht substance tht he used to savour often !! maybe thts y he always prefers black tea !! papers taught r fine. some r familiar to CS guys whereas some 4 EC/EE guys...none 4 MCAs !!
About the guest-house; Lavish..posh....with this money u could liv in a 5* hotel in kerala for a yr i guess !! u touch anything..u gotta pay 4 tht. but acc. to ikka, who visited us last week, tis reasonable in delhi. who knows delhi better than ikka? first thing i did when v shifted her was 2 buy a good rope !! jst to tie joy's legs to the cot. "padakka purayude aduthu theepetti company nadathukayaanallo joy".. thtz y. he has made a hitlist of the people whom he's planning to handle ...( thank god !! machan's not here ). donno wht he'll endup with.
abt the food; we tried "dhaba" one day... we were his last customers tht day 'coz the stuff got finished...but after he closed the shop we had to watch him beating a cow "with the same chattukam tht he used to make the noodles"...!!!! nxt day we shifted to guest-house mess !!! now we got the freedom to tak fud frm anywher as tis not compulsary now !! 2day onwards we're dining frm outside..thtz wht we're planning. got a lot of tamil guys n gals here. i'm jst managing with my broken tamil. joy's learned something called "aangyabaasha ".. ahhh..one more thing !! we've got a manager who's 100 times slower thn nathu ! v're fed up with him !! he don understands wht v say n vice versa ..
jst to write abt chacko. he's b'com more lik a tamilian. living, eating n playin with them ...says he plays futball with hindi guys with boots n jersey....!! very busy ..never getz 2c him ..very busy doing progr. even in lunch hours... one day while returning aftr lunch , i saw chacks peeping thr. my trainning room window. donno whom he's searchin 4?? he had a lot of connection b4 comin' here... maybe repairing some lines !!!
thtz the news frm gurgaon....got 2 xplore the place bit more..traveling is a prob here . mainly cycle rickshaws. maybe this week. my cousin Anand took us to Akshardham temple, Delhi metro, some bazars(Paalika Bazaar), Connaught place n some "vaayil kollatha perullla" places !! tht was the day b4 joinin here 4 training.
